Civic Responsibilities
As an emerging adult I think the we all have civic duties we are obligated to take, the community has given to us students in the transformation stage from teen to adult. One civic duty we must follow is registering to vote, as well register for nation selective services. It’s not an option it is an obligation, we have to give back what the community as well as the country has given to us, whether that duty is signing up for selective services or registering to vote. It is the method in which emerging adults can give back. Civic duties are not limited to these 2 options; they range from many other services, such as showing up for court to participate in a case, paying taxes. I wouldn’t call them civil responsibilities but rather civil obligations that as emerging adults we must follow and obey. In contrast to pursuing my own ambitions as well as goals, I feel I need to from time to time give back to my community. Either by feeding the homeless, donating blood, or hosting fundraisers for a cause. I do this because I need to give back as I said before, to those who have given, and in many cases give to those who can’t give. Rendering my services at full potential for the better quality state of my community, state or country. As I continue with my life trying to accomplish my dreams, I will continue to give back any way shape or form, a small contribution goes along way. I feel more people need to take this into consideration and do the same as others have, take the responsibilities that we hold and at make an attempt to help out. As we grow older the larger responsibilities we have, and the greater we should give back to our community, so younger generations can see these responsibilities and adopt them into their lives as they become older.
Effective Communicator
Throughout my 4 years in high school, I have been a very effective communicator. As part of the Associated Student body of San Diego High, we must constantly maintain a line of communication between ASB members thought E-mail, phone calls and memos. I have been an effective communicator my job as the commissioner of technology requires that maintain all printers up to date and free of any errors, whenever we are out of print paper or printer ink. I am required to E-mail the ASB treasurer the information on the compatible ink cartridge, as well as the amount of units needs to keep a steady supply. I send her the information and she makes the order for the resupply. Any devices around the room that are down for maintenance I must notify the ASB secretary, as well ASB treasurer to make the order for a replacement, communications is key in keeping everything maintained as well as up to date. Another example of how I am an effective communicator is I have to tabulate our supplies such as, printer ink, printer paper, cables, and blank discs and send a report on what supply is limited and what is still abundant. Depending if that supply is used as well as needed, such as printer paper, then she places the order to restock on materials the room needs. As I said before communication is key at ASB, whenever certain papers are needed we send E-mails with specified deadlines those papers are need to move forward with the implementation as well execution of an upcoming school event.
Tech producer

Throughout my 4 years at Sci-Tech, I have been an effective technological producer, I have used technology to complete large amount of my project, essays, as well as presentations. When I first arrived at Sci-Tech I had very little knowledge of how to work/navigate my way around a computer, specifically how to create PowerPoint presentations, types essays using MS, making brochures, as well as use adobe workshop. I have had many situations where I have been required to be a technological producer to complete a presented task among a group. During my freshmen year I was paired up with 4 other classmates in our physics class. The purpose of this project was to create a PowerPoint, each slide in order of the planets. In addition each slide needed 5 pieces of information about that planet, temperature, density, orbit, ect. Since many of my peers where unfamiliar to PowerPoint I took it on myself to teach them how to create slides, change background colors, as well layout and format, the very basics. The solar system assignment was finished within 4 days, everyone contributed their own share of the work typing information, double checking the validity and clarity. Another example of a time I had to be a technological producer was during Mr. Marquez TSS class in my sophomore year, a cluster of computers need repair, I took it upon myself to fix those computers with the previous hands experience I had with computers, it took me 5 days to repair a cluster of 3 computers a lot of them just required a simple reinstallation of the operating system, which was fairly a simple task. That is how I have been a technological producer at Sci-Tech.

Collaborative worker
Through out my four years In high school I have been a collaborative work at school. With my peers, among my groups. I can recall a time where I was a collaborative team worker in one of my classes. Specifically Mr. AVilas law class. I was paired up with 3 of my fellow classmates and where assigned a landmark case. We choose the nixon scandal, I was the group leader and since some of my group membes weren't the most motivated kids in the class I had to find a Way to make everyone work and controbitue their equal share of work. So I had to collaborate and give each member equal amount of tasks that where do abel and could be completed with in a short amount of time. As the group leader I gave myself the most diffcult task which would be writeing the essay about Nixon that no one wanted to do. What I did was I asked everyone of my team member what part of the project they wanted and they felt they could do without encountering any problems. I divided up the work among my peers and we completed the project in time and reveieved and "A" that's one exmple of a time where I had to be a collaborative worker. Another instance of a time I had to be a collaborative worker was in our envoirnmental class a group of 5 kids including me had to worker together to create a wind turbine that can generate electricity and power a household ligth bulb. We all sat down and analyzed the materials and looked at the instructions..someone from the group had lost part of the instructions so we had to sit down and try different ways of making it work. I took it apon myself of going online and googling wind turbine I printed out a image of a wind turbine and we sat down and looked at the image and tried to figure out ways to replicate that image into a real life turbine with the materials we currently had, it took alot of work and thougth but we got the wind turbine done within 3 weeks, the model was very rudimentary it wasn't very nice looking we all had to collaborate together in order to accomplish something from a printed image. These following reasons are the reasons of how I have been a collaborative worker at Sci-Tech.

Responsible Learner
Throughout my 4 years at Sci-Tech I feel I have been very responsible learner. In all of my classes I have been responsible in terms of turning in my work on time, listening to the teacher during his or her lessons. Due to my terrible as well as indecipherable hand writeing I am forced to relay more on memory rather than my notes. Since Sci-Tech provide students with planners I found myself constantlly marking down imporatn deadlines as well events occuring at school. I would write down the days I have tests as well as quizess, during my weekends prior to those tests & quizes I allocated 4 hours of my day towards strenous study and recitation pivotal passages and definitions in order to pass my quiz, in some cases during the tests I would forget some of the material but because I would re it over and over again. That is one example of how I am a good as well as a resposible learner. Organization, study and commitment, I do by best in order to get the good grade I desire wether it be an A or B, I always to achieve the best. Another example of how I am good responsible learner would be in computers, I can recall an instance where a friend of mine was having computer trouble, at the time I was taking computer class with Mr. Marquez. Specifically Technicall Support Service class. I was at my freinds house he suddenly began having problems with his computer, so I quicklly examined and troubleshooted the situation, and because I paid well attention in Mt.Marquez TSS class I was abel to fix the problem within minutes, spareing my friend the hassle of calling technicall service line. That is why I am a responsible learner.
